Hello, I'm AblatedCrayon. I came across El Cazador through the wonders of random selection on netflix, and I absolutely love the romantic potential between Nadie and Ellis. I feel like there's a lot to work with in fanfiction about these girls, but I'm just not sure where I'd like to start.

I've just joined this community and haven't gone through many of the older posts to see what's been going on around here, but I did notice that fanfictions are a bit sparse. So, I'd like to make an offer: help me with a few prompts (F/F only please), and I'll try to write my first El Cazador fanfic. I've never tried to be a prompt-filler gal before, so this should prove to be an interesting challenge. I prefer to write stories with a lot of substance behind them: multi-scened, even multi-chaptered stories with considerable length to them. I do write stories intended for adult audiences, but I'm not much for writing erotica and love scenes (I wish I were better at them, trust me). I tend to avoid extremely different AU's where you plop the characters in random new settings, but I do not mind tweaking canon every now and then to satisfy the "what if" questions inside us all.

If I do end up with something presentable—and I will do my best to make that happen eventually; I can be a slow writer—I'll be sure to make a post here linking to it for interested members to check out.

In the meantime, I'd be very pleased to meet some of you who are still active around these parts and say hi.

All my best,
AblatedCrayon

I've long wanted to see an in-depth post-series exploration of Nadie and Ellis trying to lead a semi-legal, grey-market, yet peaceful sort of life together somewhere like New Mexico or Arizona or Sonora. Discussion of sex is okay but preferably no explicit scenes. Some good interaction between the girls and Jody and/or Ricardo would be especially nice.

Pleased to meet you! Yeah, it's quiet around here.

And I'm happy to meet you as well.

That sounds like an excellent idea for a fanfic!

It's too bad; there are only a few highly femslash-friendly anime fandoms that I've seen, and they're all sporting very very small fan bases.

Yeah. There's just not particularly much going on, sadly. Though, are you familiar with daily_yuri? It posts manga scans, most of which posts get some good comments going.

That sounds excellent! I'll be sure to join up and start looking over their posts too. I've only recently begun visiting yurikai and lililicious; they have a lot of scanlations for femslash manga too.

Wikipedia says there's a manga of some kind for El Cazador out and about. Has it been translated into English anywhere? I can't seem to find a link to it.

It's terrible. Trust me. The people who did the anime had little to no creative control and it's a fanservice-y wreck.

Yeah, it's a shame that there isn't much for the fandom... I found the series as a whole rather satisfying, so I haven't really felt the drive to contribute much... perhaps that is part of the problem?

Also, about erotica: I found that at the start I was pretty bad. I read a hell of a lot of it and then started thinking more on the 5 senses and did lots of practising and became better. I know it's hard to do when you feel you aren't good, but it'd probably help for you to do the same :)

As for prompts... (if you still want them) I'm not great for giving other people scenarios and it's been a while since I watched the series, so...

A day at the beach? A journey between two separate towns? Focus on an aspect of Nadie that Ellis likes and write her feelings on it (or the reverse)?

I agree; the series as a whole was very well executed, so there's a reduced impetus to add onto it with fanfiction. Of course, with my yuri goggles, I would have loved to see more acknowledgement of the extent of Nadie and Ellis' relationship at the end; lol. By far my biggest gripe, though, was the tranny-bashing. That was unnecessary.

I'll be sure to keep your suggestions in mind when I next try to write erotica. They're good ideas for practicing.

I like mel's idea, but I think yours might work into it as a scene. I've taken notes on an idea for the beginning, but I want it to be a long fic, so it'll take a while for me to get anything worth bringing forward.

Thanks for stopping in, and I think prompt was good, thanks for that too!
